We called Uppababy and they sent us a new stroller right away. The frame seems slightly sturdier and so far so good. The only difference that I noticed was that the back fabric was now orange instead of white and the orange color was a bit louder than the previous version. Overall very happy with the stroller again.
I was impressed with Uppababy's customer service: everyone I interacted with (by phone and by email) was friendly, quick and effective. They actually give you their name and you get an assigned customer service person that follows-up with you. So refreshing!

We absolutely loved this stroller until the aluminum frame snapped in two! The screws that hold the fabric and the harness are drilled right into the aluminum tubing and I believe this is what structurally weakens it. While we did use the stroller every day, this seems to be a product defect and not due to any out-of-the-ordinary use. The stroller is only 4 month-old... Read more

We already have uppababy vista and very happy with that stroller, buying another uppababy product was a straight forward decision for us. I still did quiet a bit of research and comparison, and decided to go with g-luxe anyways.
I bought the stroller without looking at it at the store. I was surprised that its a little bigger then i imagined, but still very light. I am very happy with the product. It folds and unfolds fairly easily, great shade extension (same as on vista and its very useful), the wheels are actually not plastic, its a soft foamy-rubbery-like material, which makes the ride smoother, nice size basket, and i really like the style and design of the stroller, very modern/euro (i bought the teal color), oh and the shoulder strap and a cup holder are nice additions. the seat is very soft and removable, which makes it easy to clean. We live in an urban area and have a big heavy Teutonia that I use for walks on the city sidewalks and off-roading but it's just too big for travel and takes up the entire trunk of my Avalon.
Overall I really like the G-luxe. I was torn between the G-Luxe, the always popular Maclarens, and the Baby Jogger City Mini. I eliminated the Maclarens because I just couldn't get the release button to work on the harness. It was so difficult. Even the store representatives struggled with it. Also, they just felt flimsier t me. Maybe this is a result of the aluminum frame but I just didn't see quality for the money. I came very close to purchasing the BJCM and probably would have if I didnt already have an all-purpose stroller. It was just too expensive and heavy to justify as my travel stroller. It's also pretty wide with the 3-wheel system and weighs about 5 lbs more than the G-Luxe. The... Read more
